Chasing autumn light

NOMAATRA is a project dedicated to capturing the natural beauty of the northern Mátra Mountains and the picturesque landscapes of Nógrád County. 🇭🇺 In this episode, we set out to capture the enchanting autumn light over the slopes of the Medvesalja region. Waking up at dawn on four separate occasions, we chased the perfect sunrise, but nature had its own plans. From dense fog that kept our drone grounded to overcast skies and technical setbacks, the journey was filled with challenges. Even my wife’s camera gave out mid-project, leaving much of the stunning footage unusable. In the end, we still managed to capture some beautiful shots of the autumn-kissed landscape. Next fall, we’ll return to complete the vision, but for now, enjoy the glimpses of Medvesalja bathed in soft morning light.
